Choosing the Right Course

I'm a complete beginner — where do I start?

Start with Aeromodelling Discovery if you want a low-commitment intro, or go straight into Beginner RC Pilot Course if you're ready to commit to real flight training from day one.

What's the difference between the drone courses?

Drone Builder Lab focuses on building a drone with simulator-only flying. Mission Pilot Elite includes everything in Builder Lab plus real, live drone flying. FPV Racing is flying-focused and built around racing skills rather than building.

Do I get to keep the aircraft or drone I build?

Yes, on the plans marked "Take Home Aircraft" — RC Aircraft Engineer, RC Builder + RC Pilot Combo, and the drone-building courses all end with you keeping what you built.

Can I move up to a more advanced course later?

Yes — most students progress from a beginner course into RC Builder + Pilot Combo or Advanced Aviator as their skills grow. Talk to us about your current level and we'll recommend the right next step.
